Summary:
Quality Lead ensures that products and processes meet quality standards. Their duties and responsibilities include supervising employees and evaluating their performance, meeting safety regulations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities – In this position, you will:
- Supervising and mentoring quality control or quality assurance technicians.
- Track and manage attendance records.
- Maintaining adherence to quality standards, regulations, and procedures.
- First point of contact for any QC or production lead concerns or issues.
- Maintain a positive work environment.
- Ability to motivate, guide, and manage a team of technicians.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Ability to prioritize and resolve work situations.
- Understand and/or help develop strategies to help Associates complete their tasks.
- Assign/direct Associates specific to accomplishing targets.
- Manage workflow with task times and monitor progress.
- Identifying areas for improvement in quality processes and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Providing training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Assist shift Supervisor with managing employees as directed.
- Assist HR with injury documentation.
- Ensure all quality employees comprehend safety regulations according to OSHA regulations.
- Collaborating with other departments, such as engineering and production, to ensure quality throughout the product lifecycle.
- Meet attendance standards.
- Must be willing to be on your feet for 8-10 hours daily.
- Must be willing to work overtime.
Background/Experience – To qualify for this position, you will need to have:
- Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience.
- Experience working in an ISO certified facility.
- Effective communication skills, both written and oral. In Spanish and English.
- Attention to detail, quality, and accuracy.
- Nice to know stand up and sit down.
- Proven leadership skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (especially excel).
- A dedicated and hard worker with a healthy, positive attitude toward individual, team, and company Goals.
Job Description: Encore Repair Services LLC seeks Quality Manager in Elgin, Illinois to develop processes and procedures to ensure that quality certifications are maintained or achieved. Act as management representative for external audits to achieve and maintain certifications such as: R2, ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and/or TL9001. Ensure that company policies and procedures are followed. Develop and implement quality standards QMS and accountable quality control systems including monitoring and analyzing quality performance. Manage new product and new business introduction to ensure the fulfillment of customer/project expectations. This includes inspecting and testing materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met, using quality tools such as PFMEA, control plan, MSA, SPC. Manage Quality Engineering and Technicians. Perform customer liaison function for quality related matters. Resolve customers issues and perform investigation and 8D completion using quality tools and data analysis. Collaborate with operations managers to develop and implement controls and improvements. Ensure that workflows, processes, and procedures comply with safety and environmental regulations. Investigate and troubleshoot product or production issues, develop corrective actions, solutions, and improvements. Review codes, specifications, and processes. Administer change management notifications. Oversee management review board (MRB) to handle RMA with vendors. Interact with manufacturers to achieve repair certifications. Responsible for assessing the skills gaps and identify training needs to facilitate training to the employees. Will work 60% at 2450 Northwest Parkway, Elgin, IL facility and 40% at 2520 Galvin Drive, Elgin, IL facility. Annual Salary: $151,466.
Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Production Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field plus 3 years in industrial production quality management. Must have at least 3 years of experience in:
- R2 and ISO/TL;
- QA software tools and processes;
- project management;
- ISO9000/QS9000 quality systems;
- FMEA, APQP, PPAP quality tools measurement;
- supplier quality;
- supplier management policies and procedures;
- people management experience; and
- servicing a global telecom provider.
